Intended Audience: Faculty, Staff, Students and Retirees in the OSU and A&M systems.
Purpose
This article explains how to share your screen during a Microsoft Teams meeting on the web, desktop, or mobile app (Android or iPhone).
Requirements
- Valid O-Key account.
- Teams web app or Teams desktop app or Teams mobile app (Android or iPhone).
- Permission to join and participate in meetings.
- An internet connection.
Step-by-Step Procedures
Teams web app
- Open the Teams web app and join your meeting.
- In the meeting controls, select the Share icon (arrow in a box).

- Choose one of the following sharing options:
- Screen – Share your entire screen
- Window – Share a specific application window
- Tab – Share a browser tab
- Select the screen, window, or tab you want to share.
- Your screen, window, or tab will now be shared.
- Select Stop sharing from the meeting controls, or close the shared window/tab if applicable.
Teams desktop app
- Open the Teams desktop app and join your meeting.
- In the meeting controls, select the Share icon (arrow in a box).

- Choose one of the following sharing options:
- Screen – Share your entire screen
- Window – Share a specific application window
- Select the screen or window you want to share.
- Your screen or window will now be shared.
- Select Stop sharing from the meeting controls.
Teams app on Android
- Open the Teams app on your Android device and join your meeting.
Note: Browsers on Android are not supported for Teams meetings.
- Tap the More options ( “…” ) icon at the bottom of the meeting window.
- From the menu, tap Share.
- Tap Share Screen.
- Tap Start Now.
- Your Android screen will now be shared with the meeting participants.
Note: If prompted, allow required permissions such as screen recording/casting and display over other apps for Teams.
- When finished, tap Stop presenting on your screen, or return to Teams and tap Stop sharing.
Teams app on iPhone
- Open the Teams app on your iPhone device and join your meeting.
- Tap the More options ( “…” ) icon at the bottom of the meeting window.
- From the menu, tap Share.
- Tap Share Screen.
- Tap Start Broadcast.
- Your iPhone screen will now be shared with the meeting participants.
Note: If prompted, allow screen recording/broadcast permissions for Teams.
- When finished, tap the red status bar at the top of your screen and tap Stop, or return to Teams and tap Stop sharing.
