Installing and Launching the App

  1. On your Android device, navigate to the device's Settings page by placing your finger at the top of the Home screen and swiping down.
  2. In the page that opens up, click on the Gear Icon to open Settings. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. On the next page, click the "Network & Internet" button.

  4. On the next page, click the Internet button.

  5. On the next page, click on the Eduroam button. Ensure that the slider is positioned to the right, as shown in the screenshot.

  6. On the next (setup) page, do the following:

    • Choose PEAP from the EAP method drop-down menu.

    • Enter your O-Key login address (not your short username) in the Identity field.

    • Enter your O-Key password in the Password field.

    • Choose Use System Certificates from the CA-Certificate drop-down menu.

    • Online certificate status should be Don't Validate.

    • Make the Domain ad.okstate.edu.

    • If you are on a Google Pixel Device, clear the "Anonymous Identity" field.

    • Also, if you are on a Google Pixel Device, under "Minimum TLS Version," press the drop-down menu and select "TLS v1.0."

    • Open the Advanced page.

  7. On the Advanced Page, do the following:

    • Set "Metered" to "Detect Automatically"

    • Set "Proxy" to "None"

    • Set "IP Settings" to "DHCP"

    • Set "Privacy" to "Use randomized MAC" and "Send device name to network".

    • Then press "Connect."

Issues / Forget Network

If you are having issues connecting to Eduroam using the steps above.

  1. If you encounter issues, try restarting your Pixel or checking your O-Key credentials.

  2. To remove your O-Key credentials from the Eduroam Wi-Fi Network, please use the following instructions to forget the network.  

  3. On your Pixel, navigate to the Settings page by putting your finger at the top of the device home page and swiping down.  On the page that opens, press on the Gear Icon to get to the Settings page.

  4. In the Settings page, open “Connections” by pressing the Connections button.

  5. In the Connections page, open “Wi-Fi” by pressing the Wi-Fi button.  Make certain that the slider is to the right.

    Press the three dots on the top right of the Wi-Fi page.

  7. On the box that opens, press the “Advanced” button.

  8. In the Advanced page, press the “Manage networks” button.

  9. In Manage Networks, press the Eduroam button.

  10. On the next page, press the “Forget" button.

  11. Your device no longer remembers the O-Key credentials that were cached in Eduroam.  Attempt to connect to Eduroam again by logging into Eduroam with your O-Key credentials.
