How could a user obtain a SIM Card after hours?

How do I activate a new or upgrade cellular device that was ordered through the OSU IT Helpdesk?

You can activate the new or upgrade device using the AT&T Activation Tool website at the web address https://www.att.com/checkmyorder/activations/activateDevice.rt.


How do I obtain the IMEI number of a cellular phone device?

The IMEI number of a cellular phone device can be obtained by dialing *#06# using the phone application. The IMEI number of the device will be displayed on the screen of the device.


I have questions\issues regarding my OSU cell phone billing statement. 

Contact the OSU IT Helpdesk with the following information:
 

  • Billing statement account number.
  • Cell phone number with billing issues.
  • Employee's name associated with the billed cell phone number.
  • Employee's CWID associated with the billed cell phone number.
  • Specific itemized charges, issues, questions, or requests concerning billing statement.
  • The month that the billing statement covers.
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Name (the name of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services).
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Phone Number (the campus phone number of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services.).

How do I disconnect my OSU cell phone service?

Contact the OSU IT Helpdesk with the following information:
 

  • Billing statement account number.
  • Cell phone number for which services are to be disconnected.
  • Employee’s name associated with the cell phone number.
  • Date desired for service to discontinue.
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Name (the name of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services).
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Phone Number (the campus phone number of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services.).

What cellular devices can be purchased through OSU IT for employees?

OSU IT is able to purchase cellular devices from the current options available from AT&T. A link to AT&T’s website for the current available options is https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/cellphones.html. If you need assistance with deciding on a device to purchase please contact the IT Helpdesk.


What options are available for adding international plans to my AT&T OSU cellular device?

The current available international plans that can be added to AT&T OSU cellular devices can be found on AT&T’s website at the web address https://www.att.com/offers/international-plans/passport.html.


How do I request to create a new OSU cell phone account?

Contact the OSU IT Helpdesk with the following information:

  • Employee's name of new account.
  • Employee's CWID for new account.
  • Department billing account number.
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Name (the name of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services).
  • Departmental Telephone Key Advisor Phone Number (the campus phone number of the person who is responsible for approving any changes in your departmental telephone services).

How do I access my voicemail for my AT&T OSU cellular device?

To access your voicemail on your OSU cellular device open the phone application and hold 1 to dial your voicemail inbox. If you do not have access to your OSU cellular device you can call the device and when your hear your voicemail greeting press the * key to interrupt the greeting and enter your voicemail password to access your voicemail.
