How do I update my alternate email address without access to the IDMS alternate email?

Purpose

This self-help article will assist users who need to update their alternate email address under the following circumstances:

  • You haven’t received the Eligible to Activate email needed to activate your IDMS account.
  • You need the password reset token sent to your alternate email address, but no longer have access to the alternate email address currently associated with your account.

Requirements

Step by Step Procedures

Changing an alternate email address constitutes a change to Core O-Key data.  An Identity Verification (IVF) is required.

If you have already activated your account, please contact the IT Service Desk at phone number 405-744-4357 to provide your phone password to verify your identity. If you are unable to provide your phone password. have not yet activated your account, or wish to verify over email, please follow these steps:

  1. Fill out our Identity Verification Form
  2. Select "Other" for the Reason for Verification
  3. Provide a Non Institutional (@yahoo, @gmail, etc) email address, that you have access to.

Lastly, If you prefer to verify your identity in person, you may visit us at 421 Classroom Building, OSU Stillwater campus, with a valid photo ID.

Once we verify your identity, we can update your alternate email address as requested. 

Verification:

 The user has received the Eligible to Activate email or reset their IDMS account password.
