Request Password Reset without an Alternate Email and Campus Alert Cell Phone

Purpose

This Self-Help article will assist users who have forgotten their password and do not have an alternate email address and Campus Alert cell phone on their account to receive the password reset token.

It is highly recommended that you obtain an alternate email address and update your account so that you receive communications that may be sent there..

It is also highly recommended that you set your cell phone number in the Campus Alerts system, Rave Mobility, so that you can receive timely campus alert notices. 

Requirements

Step by Step Procedures

  • Changing an alternate email address or updating a cell phone number in Campus Alerts constitutes a change to Core O-Key data.  An Identity Verification (IVF) is required.

    If you have already activated your account, please contact the IT Service Desk at phone number 405-744-4357 to provide your phone password to verify your identity. If you are unable to provide your phone password or wish to verify over email, please follow these steps:

  • Fill out our Identity Verification Form
  • Select "Other" for the Reason for Verification
  • Provide a Non Institutional (@yahoo, @gmail, etc) email address, that you have access to.  You may also provide your personal cell phone number for Campus Alerts.
  • Lastly, If you prefer to verify your identity in person, you may visit us at 421 Classroom Building, OSU Stillwater campus, with a valid photo ID.

    Once we verify your identity, we can update your alternate email address as requested. 

Verification

The EIT Helpdesk will provide you with instructions on how to reset your password.
