Overview
If IT Security or Telecommunications needs to defender isolate, quarantine an IP or block the mac address of a host on the network or block the host on NAC, this service offering will generate the associated ticket for the work with that action to be done in. Hosts blocked via the Vulnerability management program will not use this service offering as they generate their own ticket when they block a host.
Features and Benefits
This is a standardized way for EIT to track the way we block internal hosts on the network. This is both for a tracking trail and for the service desk to be able to look up the end users machine and see exactly why it is not acting properly.
Who is this Service Offering Available to?
This offering should only be available for EIT employees. The general public should not be able to use this offering.
Service Availability
Requests can be submitted 24/7, these types of tickets will get priority response from IT Security and the work may already be completed by the time its created.
