Overview
This service offering is for system managers to request an exception to the vulnerability management process or request a vulnerability to be accepted by Information Security Services. This allows users to report their mitigation and remediation plans for vulnerabilities and request an extension to the vulnerability management process.
Features and Benefits
This allows users to submit vulnerability mitigation and remediation plans, and if accepted, allows their devices with accepted vulnerabilities to stay on the OSU network. This is dependent on the exception being accepted and the user adhering to the mitigation and remediation plan submitted.

Available to faculty, staff, and student employees who use university-owned computers or devices and manage systems with located vulnerabilities.
Service Availability
Requests can be submitted 24/7, and they’re typically reviewed within 5 business days. Acceptance or denial can very depending on processing times.
