Vulnerability Management

Overview

This service is for ISS members to create alerts for vulnerabilities located on the OSU network. This is not a service that customers request, but instead a service that ISS members can use to create alerts that require people to take action on devices to remediate vulnerabilities. System managers can be ITCs, employees, professors, and also can be located on other campuses. This will be used to track vulnerability alerts, remediations, and provide direction for people needing to use the vulnerability exception offering.

Features and Benefits

This service allows OSU to alert system owners to vulnerabilities brought to ISS. This allows ISS to monitor and track known vulnerabilities, work through vulnerability management, and work with GRC to track and register risk.

ISS members.

Service Availability

Requests can be submitted 24/7, but typically between M-F 8AM-5PM, and depending on severity has different expectations on the system managers.
