📶 How to Connect to NEO's Campus Wi-Fi on Windows 11
Get your Windows 11 device connected to NEO A&M College's campus wireless network quickly and securely.
📋 Before You Begin
- Your device must be running Windows 11 with a working Wi-Fi adapter.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on and not in Airplane Mode.
- You will need the following network credentials:
- Network Name (SSID): NEO_Guest
- Password: Neoguest
- The guest network is for general internet access. For NEO internal resources, contact the IT Help Desk.
📶 Connect via the Taskbar (Recommended)⏱ ~2 minutes
The fastest way to connect to Wi-Fi on Windows 11 is directly from the taskbar.
- Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray.
- A quick settings panel opens. Click the arrow (>) next to the Wi-Fi toggle to expand the network list.
- Scroll the list and click NEO_Guest.
- Check Connect automatically if you want to auto-join on campus in the future.
- Click Connect.
- When prompted for a password, enter: Neoguest — then click Next.
- If asked whether to allow your PC to be discoverable, click No.
- Wait a moment — the Wi-Fi icon will fill in once connected. NEO_Guest will show as Connected, secured.
💡 Tip: You can also open the Wi-Fi panel by pressing Windows + A to open the Action Center, then clicking the Wi-Fi icon.
⚙️ Connect via Settings⏱ ~3 minutes
If you prefer to manage your connection through Settings, follow these steps.
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Click Network & internet in the left sidebar.
- Click Wi-Fi.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi toggle is turned On.
- Click Show available networks.
- Find and click NEO_Guest in the list.
- Check Connect automatically if desired, then click Connect.
- Enter the password Neoguest and click Next.
- When asked about network discoverability, select No.
- Once connected, Network & internet will show NEO_Guest as your active connection.
🔄 Set Wi-Fi to Connect Automatically⏱ ~1 minute
If you did not check Connect automatically during setup, you can enable it afterwards.
- Open Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
- Click Manage known networks.
- Find NEO_Guest in the list and click on it.
- Toggle Connect automatically when in range to On.
💡 Tip: Once saved, your device will automatically connect to NEO_Guest whenever you are on campus — no need to re-enter the password.
🔧 Troubleshooting Connection Issues⏱ ~3 minutes
If you are having trouble connecting to NEO_Guest, try the steps below in order.
- Check Airplane Mode: Open the Action Center (Windows + A) and make sure Airplane Mode is off.
- Toggle Wi-Fi off and back on: Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar, turn it Off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it On again.
- Forget and reconnect: Go to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks, click NEO_Guest, and select Forget. Then reconnect using the steps above.
- Restart your device: A full restart clears network adapter state and resolves most connection issues.
- Run the Network troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and click Run next to Internet Connections.

⚠️ Note: If NEO_Guest does not appear in your network list at all, you may be out of range or the access point may need attention. Contact the IT Help Desk to report a Wi-Fi coverage issue.
