📝 Request a NEO Service Account
How to request a new NEO service account through the O-Key Administrator Lookup page.
✅ Before You Begin
Service accounts must be requested by someone with O-Key Administrator access, such as a department IT Coordinator (ITC) or local support representative.
Decide which service account type best fits your purpose (Mail Enabled, Application, Kiosk, LDAP Only, Long Term Visitor, Reserved, Resource, or Wireless MAC).
Be ready to name a Primary owner and at least one Secondary owner.
Step 1 — Choose a service account type 🕐 ~5 min
Review the available types and pick the one that matches your purpose:
  • Mail Enabled — receives departmental/organizational email.
  • Application — authenticates application users against Active Directory or openLDAP.
  • Kiosk — shared credentials for a group of publicly accessible computers.
  • LDAP Only — authentication against Active Directory or openLDAP.
  • Long Term Visitor — a re-usable mailbox with network access for short-term visitors.
  • Reserved — reserves a short name/username; for IT internal use only.
  • Resource Room or Equipment — manages usage and reservation requests for rooms, vehicles, calendars, etc.
  • Wireless MAC — wireless access for devices that cannot authenticate with personal credentials.
💡 Tip: If you are unsure which type to choose, contact the NEO IT Department before submitting the request.
Step 2 — Submit the request 🕐 ~10 min
  1. A person with O-Key Administrator access signs in to the O-Key Administrator Lookup page.
  2. Use the Request Service Account link located on that page.
  3. Complete the request, including the account type, Primary owner, and Secondary owner(s).
⚠ Warning: Only departmental ITCs or local support representatives with O-Key Administrator access can submit a service account request. Individual end users cannot request one directly.
What happens next 🕐 varies
Once the request is submitted, the account is created and will need to be activated by an owner. Each service account is set to expire annually and can be extended, disabled, re-enabled, or deleted by its owners at any time.
