How to Activate a NEO Service Account

✅ Before You Begin
The service account must already have been requested through the O-Key Administrator Lookup page.
You should know which service account type you are activating, because activation steps differ by type.
Sign in with your personal O-Key credentials — do not use the service account’s own login.
Activation by service account type 🕐 ~5 min
Activation differs depending on the type of account. Follow the steps for your account type:
- Application
- Mail Enabled
- Kiosk
- Wireless MAC
- Resource
- Long-Term Visitor
- LDAP Only
💡 Tip: If you are not sure which type your account is, an owner can look it up in their personal O-Key profile under Service Accounts, or contact the NEO IT Department.
General activation flow 🕐 ~5 min
- Sign in to okey.okstate.edu with your personal authentication credentials.
- Click the Service Accounts link in the left pane.
- Locate the new service account in your list of owned accounts and follow the activation prompts for its type.
⚠ Warning: A Reserved service account does not require activation and never expires. All other account types must be activated before use.
