🔗 Share Access Rights to a NEO Service Account
How an owner can grant Send As, Full Access, and Auto Mapping mailbox rights on a mail-enabled NEO service account.
✅ Before You Begin
You must be an owner of the mail-enabled service account.
The person you want to share rights with must be made an owner of the account first.
Note: students cannot be made a Primary owner of a service account.
Step 1 — Make the person an owner 🕐 ~3 min
If the person you want to share access with is not already an owner of the mail-enabled service account, you must first make that person an owner of the account.
⚠ Warning: Students cannot be made a Primary owner of a service account.
Step 2 — Grant mailbox rights 🕐 ~3 min
Once the person is an owner, you can give them the following mailbox rights:
  • Send As — allows an owner to send emails via Outlook as the service account.
  • Full Access — grants access to the service account.
  • Auto Mapping — the service account profile should automatically map to the owner’s Outlook account.
When access appears 🕐 overnight
After an overnight wait, the person should see the service account name map into their OSU Outlook account.
💡 Tip: If the mailbox has not appeared the next day, have the person fully close and reopen Outlook before contacting IT.
