Body

🔁 Set Up a Recurring Meeting
Make a meeting repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
✅ Before You Begin
  • You need an active NEO A&M College account with SSO access
  • An internet connection is required
  • You must be the organizer to change how a meeting repeats
  • 🕐 Estimated time: 4 minutes
💻 Which Outlook do these steps describe?
Written for Outlook on the web and New Outlook for Windows, which share the same layout. Classic Outlook for Windows is laid out differently. If your ribbon has a Send / Receive tab, you are using classic — see Classic Outlook vs. New Outlook, or contact the Help Desk if these steps do not match what you see.

🔁 Make a Meeting Repeat 🕐 ~3 minutes  |  Any browser
  1. Start a new event, or open an existing one you organize.
  2. Select the date and time line to expand it.
  3. Select Recurring.
  4. Set the pattern in Repeat every — a number, then day, week, month, or year.
    • For a weekly pattern, select the day letters underneath — M T W T F S S. Select more than one for a meeting that happens twice a week.
  5. Set an end date in Until. Outlook fills in a date about six months out; change it to something that matches reality, such as the end of the semester.
  6. Finish the rest of the meeting as usual and select Send.
The expanded date and time row of an Outlook event, showing Start date, Start time, End time, an All day checkbox, and a highlighted Recurring button. Below it, the recurrence controls: Repeat every 1 week, day-of-week buttons with Tuesday selected, an Until date, and a trash-can icon to remove the recurrence. Above them, a sentence reading Occurs every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM effective Tue 2026-08-18 until Tue 2027-02-09.
The recurrence controls, and the sentence describing the pattern you have set.
⚠️ Note: Once you turn on Recurring, the toolbar switches from Event to Series and the date line rewrites itself to describe the pattern — for example “Occurs every Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM effective Tue 2026-08-18 until Tue 2027-02-09”. Read that line back before sending; it is the quickest way to catch a wrong pattern.
💡 Tip: Set an end date you can defend rather than letting a meeting repeat forever. Meetings that never end are the ones nobody cancels when they stop being useful.

🛠️ Change or End a Repeating Meeting 🕐 ~2 minutes  |  Organizer only
  1. Open the meeting and make sure Series is selected in the toolbar.
  2. Expand the date and time line and select Recurring.
  3. Change the pattern or the Until date, then select Send.
  4. To stop a meeting repeating altogether but keep it as a one-off, select the trash-can icon at the end of the recurrence row.
💡 Tip: To end a repeating meeting from a date onward without deleting its history, change Until to the last date it should happen. Past occurrences stay on everyone’s calendars, which keeps the record intact.
⚠️ Note: To move a single occurrence, open that occurrence and select Event rather than Series before making the change.
