Errors and Explanations
"Your account is not recognized and cannot login at this time."
This error (seen below) is generally caused by your email address being incorrectly entered into the CAS system. If it has been less than 24 hours after you have activated your account, you will also experience this error.
The correct email address to be used will end in any of the following:
- @okstate.edu
- @langston.edu
- @neo.edu
- @opsu.edu
- @connorsstate.edu
If you do not know your email address, please fill out our Identity Verification form, which can be found in the "Related Services" section of this article titled "Identity Verification Form".
If the error is still occurring after putting in the correct email address, please clear the cache and cookies on your browser. You can do so by following the instructions that can be found in the "Related Articles" section of this article Titled "Clear Cache and Cookies".
"Authentication attempt has failed, likely due to invalid credentials. Please verify and try again."
This error (seen below) is caused by your password being incorrectly entered into the CAS system.
If you attempt to sign in with the incorrect password/credentials multiple times, your account may become locked. This is just a temporary lock; it should clear within 15 minutes of its appearance.
If you do not know your password or would like to reset it, please follow the instructions that can be found in the "Related Articles" section of this article titled "O-Key Password Reset".
"Enter your bypass code."
This message (seen below) means that you will need to reach out to the EIT Helpdesk for assistance. This message does not occur randomly; it will only appear when there are no other ways of verification set up on the account, or this method was selected by the user.
For this specific issue, it would be faster for you to submit an Identity Verification Form, which can be found in the "Related Services" section of this article titled "Identity Verification Form".
If you would prefer to call, reach out to our EIT Service desk at 405-744-4357 and attempt to verify your identity via a "Phone Password Response".
Once your identity is verified, you will either be sent a bypass code or have a phone number added to your DUO account to avoid having to get another bypass code.
