Purpose
This article explains how to move email into the Online Archive mailbox.
Requirements
- Valid Okey account.
- Outlook web or New Outlook desktop app or Classic Outlook desktop app
Step-by-Step Procedures
- Open Outlook.
- Look for your Online Archive mailbox in the folder list under your primary mailbox. The label depends on your Outlook client:
- Outlook Web App: In-Place Archive – Last, First
- New Outlook desktop app: Online Archive – Last, First
- Outlook Classic desktop app: Online Archive – account.name@okstate.edu
- Move emails from your Primary mailbox
- Click and drag emails from your primary mailbox into the desired folder in the Online Archive mailbox.
- The folder structure is preserved automatically.
- Import Emails from a PST File
- Open Outlook’s Import and Export Wizard.
- Choose Outlook Data File (.pst).
- Select the PST file to import.
- Choose the destination folder in your Online Archive mailbox.
- Drag Emails from a PST File
- Open the PST file in Outlook.
- Drag messages into the corresponding folder in your Online Archive mailbox.
- Important Notes
- Do not use the Archive button in Outlook expecting it to move emails to the Online Archive mailbox. The Archive button only moves messages to an Archive folder in your primary mailbox.
