How to Restore a Deleted File from the Files or SharePoint Tab in Teams

If you deleted a file from the Files or SharePoint tab in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps to restore it:

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.

  2. Navigate to the Team where the deleted file was located.

  3. Select the Channel that contained the file.

  4. Click the Files tab at the top.

  5. Select Open in SharePoint.

  6. In the SharePoint site that opens, click Recycle bin in the left-hand menu.

  7. Find the deleted file, right-click it, and select Restore.

  8. Confirm the restoration when prompted.

The file will be restored to its original location in Teams.
