Purpose

This article is intended to help users manage common phone settings such as speed dials, call forwarding, and device labels, ensuring a more personalized and efficient communication experience. The document also outlines how to log in and navigate the portal and includes visual references to assist with configuration tasks.

Requirements

Log in to your Cisco Unified Self-Care Portal

  1. Open your favorite internet browser and navigate to http://cucm.net.okstate.edu/ccmuserCisco Unified Communications Self Care Portal login screen with fields for username and password.
  2. Enter your Username (Use your okstate.edu email) and OKEY Password.
  3. Click Login.
  4. You should now see the following page: List of VoIP devices assigned to the user, with options to edit settings
    This is a list of all devices that are assigned to you. You can click on the device, and a dialog box will pop up that would allow you to edit the device, change the settings (a process that is covered later in this document), and download the manual for this device type. Modify your Device Settings

  1. Navigate in the left menu to “Phone Settings”.
  2. To add/modify/delete speed dial numbers, expand the “Speed Dial Numbers” option in the list.
  3. The page will then resemble the screenshot below:Speed Dial Numbers section with existing entries and an option to add new speed dials.
  4. To add new speed dial numbers, click the + Add New Speed Dial link.
  5. A new dialog box will pop up that looks like this: Pop-up dialog for entering a phone number and label for a new speed dial entry.
  6. For each speed dial button, enter the Number and the Label for the contact, and the next entry in your list of speed dial buttons.Example of a completed speed dial entry showing number and label fields.(Note: Be sure to include (8) before for off-campus numbers.)
  7. Click Save.

Configure Call Forwarding

  1. From the left menu, click on Call Forwarding.
  2. The next screen will look like this: Call Forwarding configuration screen with options to forward calls for specific lines.
  3. Expand the information for the line you wish to forward: Detailed forwarding options for a selected line, including call type routing.
  4. You may either just choose to forward all calls by clicking the box, or you can choose to have different types of calls go to different numbers. Example showing different call types forwarded to different numbers.
