Purpose
This article will help Microsoft Teams users restore files that were deleted from a Team’s Files tab or the connected SharePoint site. It provides clear, step-by-step instructions for accessing the SharePoint Recycle Bin and recovering the file to its original location.
Requirements

An active Microsoft Teams account with access to the Team and Channel where the file was originally located.

Appropriate permissions in SharePoint to view and restore items from the Recycle Bin.

Access to Microsoft Teams (desktop, web, or mobile) and a web browser to open the associated SharePoint site.
How to Restore a Deleted File from the Files or SharePoint Tab in Teams
If you deleted a file from the Files or SharePoint tab in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps to restore it:

Open Microsoft Teams.

Navigate to the Team where the deleted file was located.

Select the Channel that contained the file.

Click the Files tab at the top.

Select Open in SharePoint.

In the SharePoint site that opens, click Recycle bin in the left-hand menu.

Find the deleted file, right-click it, and select Restore.

Confirm the restoration when prompted.
The file will be restored to its original location in Teams.
