Mitel 6915 Phone Directory Guide
Learn how to access, search, and call contacts using the Enterprise Directory on your Mitel 6915 desk phone.
📋 Before You Begin
  • Your Mitel 6915 desk phone must be powered on and connected to the campus network.
  • Your phone must already be activated on the NEO A&M College phone system.
  • No login or credentials are required to use the Directory feature.
  • Estimated time: Under 2 minutes
📞 Step 1 – Access the Directory    ⏱ Est. Time: ~30 seconds  |  💻 Device: Mitel 6915 Desk Phone
  1. Locate the Directory hard key on your phone.
It is the dedicated button on the left side of your phone's keypad, just to the left of the number 1 key.
  2. Press the Directory button to open the directory menu.
  3. Use the navigation keys (Up/Down arrows) to highlight "Enterprise" from the list of directory options.
  4. Press the Right navigation key to enter the Enterprise directory.
💡 Tip: The Enterprise directory contains all active NEO A&M College campus extensions. Personal and local directories are also available from this same menu.
🔍 Step 2 – Find a Contact    ⏱ Est. Time: ~30 seconds  |  💻 Device: Mitel 6915 Desk Phone

Once inside the Enterprise directory, you have two ways to locate a contact:

Option A – Search by Name

  1. Using the phone's keypad, begin typing the person's last name.
Each key press enters the corresponding letter (e.g., press 5 for J, K, or L).
  2. The directory list filters in real time as you type, narrowing results automatically.
  3. Stop typing when you see the contact's name on screen.

Option B – Scroll Through the List

  1. Press the Up or Down navigation key to scroll through the alphabetical contact list.
  2. Continue scrolling until you reach the desired name.
💡 Tip: Searching by last name is the fastest method when you know the person's last name. Use scrolling when you only know a first name or department.
🕽 Step 3 – Place the Call    ⏱ Est. Time: ~15 seconds  |  💻 Device: Mitel 6915 Desk Phone

Once the desired name is highlighted on your screen, you have two options to dial:

Option A – Use the Softkey

  1. Press the Dial softkey (displayed at the bottom of your screen, directly below the label).
The softkeys are the row of unmarked buttons directly below the display screen.
  2. The phone will automatically dial the selected extension.

Option B – Use the Handset or Speaker

  1. With the contact highlighted, simply lift the handset — the phone will connect the call automatically.
  2. Alternatively, press the Speaker key to dial hands-free.
⚠️ Note: If a contact shows multiple lines or extensions, use the navigation keys to select the correct extension before pressing Dial.
