๐ Reset a NEO Service Account Password
Step-by-step instructions for Primary and Secondary owners to reset the password on a NEO service account through their personal O-Key profile.

Before You Begin
You must be a Primary or Secondary owner of the service account.
Sign in with your personal O-Key credentials โ do not use the service accountโs own login.
Have the new password ready, following NEO password complexity rules and not reusing the last four passwords.
Step 1 โ Sign in to your O-Key profile ๐ ~2 min
- Go to okey.okstate.edu and authenticate with your personal authentication credentials. Do not use the Service Account login username and password.
- If prompted, confirm your emergency contact information and click Done on the appropriate section.
Step 2 โ Locate the service account ๐ ~1 min
- In your personal O-Key profile, click the Service Accounts link in the left pane.
- You will see a list of all service accounts you are listed as a Primary or Secondary owner of.
- Click the Modify link next to the appropriate service account.
Step 3 โ Change the service account password ๐ ~3 min
- In the service account profile, click the Change Service Account Password link in the left pane.
- Either choose a randomly generated password option, or enter a private password twice.
- Click Save.
โ Warning: To see the Change Service Account Password link, you MUST be a Primary or Secondary owner. Do not reuse any of the last four passwords, and make sure the new password meets the password complexity rules.
After the reset ๐ ~30 min
The new password should take effect within about 30 minutes.
๐ก Tip: If applicable, communicate the new password to all additional owners of the service account so everyone stays in sync.
