π₯ Add a Secondary Owner to a NEO Service Account
How a Primary or Secondary owner can add a new Secondary owner to a service account through their personal O-Key profile.
β
Before You Begin
You must be a Primary or Secondary owner of the service account.
A Secondary owner is required for all service accounts.
Have the email address of the new Secondary owner ready. They cannot already be an owner of the account.
Step 1 β Sign in and open the account π ~2 min
- Authenticate to okey.okstate.edu using your personal authentication credentials. Do not use the Service Account login/password.
- In your personal O-Key profile, click the Service Accounts link in the left pane.
- Click the Modify link next to the appropriate service account.
Step 2 β Add the secondary owner π ~3 min
- In the service account profile, click the Add Secondary Owner link in the left pane.
- Enter the email address of the new Secondary owner.
- Click the LookUp button.
- If the email is valid and not currently assigned as an owner, confirm the new Secondary ownerβs name and department, then click Confirm.
β Warning: If the name/department shown is not correct, click Cancel and begin again rather than confirming.
π‘ Tip: Adding a secondary owner gives your account an extra layer of security and ensures someone can maintain it if the primary owner is unavailable.
