๐งน How to Clear Cache and Cookies in Google Chrome
Clearing your cache and cookies in Google Chrome can fix many common browsing issues โ such as pages not loading correctly, outdated content displaying, or login problems. Follow the steps below for your device.
โ Why Clear Your Cache and Cookies?
- Cache โ Removes temporarily stored website files that may be outdated or corrupted.
- Cookies โ Removes stored login sessions and site preferences that may be causing errors.
- Together, these steps often resolve: pages that won't load, login loops, outdated content after a site update, and slow page loading.
๐ป Clear Cache & Cookies on Windows
Estimated time: Under 2 minutes | Requires: Google Chrome installed on Windows 10 or 11
- Open Google Chrome on your Windows PC.
- Click the three-dot menu ( โฎ ) in the upper-right corner of the browser.
- Select Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security.
- Click Delete browsing data.
- In the dialog box that appears:
- Set the Time range to All time (recommended).
- Check the boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Click Delete data.
- Restart Chrome and try accessing your site again.

๐ Clear Cache & Cookies on Mac
Estimated time: Under 2 minutes | Requires: Google Chrome installed on macOS
- Open Google Chrome on your Mac.
- Click the three-dot menu ( โฎ ) in the upper-right corner of the browser.
- Select Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security.
- Click Delete browsing data.
- In the dialog box that appears:
- Set the Time range to All time (recommended).
- Check the boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Click Delete data.
- Restart Chrome and try accessing your site again.

๐ฑ Clear Cache & Cookies on iPhone / iPad (iOS)
Estimated time: Under 2 minutes | Requires: Google Chrome app installed on iPhone or iPad
- Open the Chrome app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the three-dot menu ( โฎ ) in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Privacy.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
- Make sure the following are checked:
- Cookies, Site Data
- Cached Images and Files
- Set the Time Range to All Time if needed.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data (shown in red) to confirm.
- Tap Done and reopen your website.
โ Note: On iOS, Chrome only clears data stored within the Chrome app itself โ it does not affect Safari or other browsers.
๐ง Clear Cache & Cookies on Android
Estimated time: Under 2 minutes | Requires: Google Chrome app installed on Android
- Open the Chrome app on your Android device.
- Tap the three-dot menu ( โฎ ) in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Tap History.
- Tap Clear browsing data.
- In the screen that appears:
- Set the Time range to All time (recommended).
- Check Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.
- Tap Clear data.
- Tap Clear on the confirmation prompt.
- Restart Chrome and try accessing your site again.
โ Note: On Android, Chrome only clears data stored within the Chrome app itself โ it does not affect other browsers on your device.
๐ก Still Having Issues After Clearing?
If clearing your cache and cookies did not resolve the problem, try these additional steps:
- Try opening the page in a different browser (e.g., Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox)
- Disable any browser extensions temporarily
- Check your internet connection
