How to Get Help from NEO IT

πŸ“ž How to Get Help from NEO IT
Every way to reach the NEO A&M College IT Help Desk, and what to tell us so we can fix it faster.
βœ… Before You Begin
  • Nothing β€” anyone at NEO A&M College can use these options
  • The support portal asks you to sign in with your NEO account; the phone, email, and walk-in options do not
  • πŸ• Estimated time: 2 minutes
πŸ“ž Ways to Reach Us πŸ• ~2 minutes  |  Pick whichever suits you
  1. Support portal β€” support.neo.edu. You will be asked to sign in with your NEO account. Best for anything that is not urgent, because it creates a ticket you can track.
  2. Phone β€” (918) 540-6099. Best when you cannot work at all.
  3. Email β€” neosupport@neo.edu. Best when you need to attach a screenshot.
  4. Walk in β€” I.T. Services, Library/Administration Building, 2nd Floor, Room 216, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Best for anything involving your physical device.
⚠️ Note: If you cannot sign in to your account at all, use the phone, email, or walk-in options. The support portal needs a working sign-in.
πŸ“ What to Tell Us πŸ• ~3 minutes  |  Saves a round trip
Most delays come from having to ask you follow-up questions. Including these up front usually saves a day.
  1. What you were trying to do, in plain words.
  2. What happened instead, including the exact wording of any error message. A photo of the screen is fine.
  3. Which computer or device. If it is a campus machine, the name is on a sticker on the case.
  4. When it started, and whether it has ever worked.
  5. Whether it affects just you or other people too.
  6. How urgent it is β€” tell us if you cannot teach, cannot get paid, or cannot serve students.
πŸ’‘ Tip: On Windows, press Windows key + Shift + S to grab a screenshot of just part of the screen, then paste it straight into your email.
πŸ” Try the Knowledge Base First πŸ• ~1 minute  |  Often faster than waiting
  1. Go to the NEO Knowledge Base.
  2. Type what you are seeing into the search box β€” describe the symptom, not the cause. Outlook keeps asking for my password works better than authentication problem.
  3. If a category looks right, open it. Categories with a pinned Start Here article begin with a plain-English directory.
