π€ Transfer Primary Ownership of a NEO Service Account
How a current Primary or Secondary owner can transfer Primary ownership of a service account through their personal O-Key profile.
β
Before You Begin
You must be the current Primary owner or a Secondary owner of the service account.
Have the email address of the new Primary owner ready.
The new Primary owner cannot already be an owner of the account. An owner cannot be both Primary and Secondary at the same time.
Special case β only one secondary owner π ~3 min
If the primary owner is no longer an owner and there is only one secondary owner, first create another secondary owner. Then have the new secondary owner delete the secondary owner who is to become the primary owner, and make that person the primary owner.
π‘ Tip: See the related articles on adding and removing secondary owners if you need to adjust ownership first.
Step 1 β Sign in and open the account π ~2 min
- Authenticate to okey.okstate.edu using your personal credentials. Do not use the Service Account login/password.
- In your personal O-Key profile, click the Service Accounts link in the left pane.
- Click the Modify link next to the appropriate service account.
Step 2 β Transfer ownership π ~3 min
- In the service account profile, click the Transfer Ownership link in the left pane.
- Enter the email address of the new Primary owner.
- Click the Look Up button.
- If the email is valid and not currently assigned as an owner, confirm the new Primary ownerβs name and department, then click Confirm.
β Warning: If the name/department shown is not correct, click Cancel and begin again rather than confirming.
